Have you ever heard the phrase a confused mind says no? It's something I've talked about for years and something I've learned, but I used it in our meeting today and it was a huge takeaway for so many people. >> It resonated with basically everybody. And what the point was is, you know, where we are we clear in our messaging about what we do, or what we want, or what we need? Because when we're not, what happens is we may be asking for help, we may be asking for support, personal, professional, we may be asking someone to do something or to delegate, um, or for a referral, but if we are confusing someone, then they don't know how to help us, and so they kind of just disengage. >> They shut down. Sometimes we give too many details cuz we could be really excited or we're not sure. What we have to do is work on clarity. Clear is kind. And if you're not sure how something is coming across, ask for feedback. >> Yeah, not just clarity, conciseness. Even in this video I just spoke way too [laughter] long. >> So, the lesson here is make sure that you think about how a confused mind says no, and are you confusing your audience? >> [music]
