Unlock Your Inner Wisdom with One Simple Habit

One of the best things a leader can do is to stop, pause, and reflect. My favorite moment in the day is when I'm in the middle of a coaching session or in a peer group meeting and someone goes, "Oh my gosh, aha, why didn't I think of that?" Or, "Why didn't I think of that sooner?" And I get to say back to them, you just did. And the reason for that is they don't stop and pause long enough to ask themselves great questions to think of things. The idea is within them. It's not coming from me or whoever's asking the question in the group. Um it's often something they've already got. They just don't know how to harness it. So I want to give you a tip to harness it on your own. um as well as reflect that sometimes it's really hard for people to do which is why I love peer groups and why I love coaching because I really believe that others can help you harness the things inside yourself sometimes better can you can on your own however here's one thing you can do today or put on your schedule and calendar for once a week just to create that clarity break for yourself create a question bank of great questions to ask yourself what's keeping me up at night this week what's the hardest thing I'm facing um think of different questions you can ask yourself and create, like I said, a bank of them and just put 15 minutes on your calendar, half hour on your calendar, and start asking yourself questions to reflect. Um, if you're the type of person who journals, journal. If you're the type of person who's auditory, just start answering them and talking out loud. Use a transcription service to pull the transcript. But come up with some of these own ideas yourself and harness them by asking yourself some really great questions. It just takes some time and some breathing room. um away from the tasks of the day-to-day and some really great questions to help you think of things you weren't already thinking about yourself. Um so try it and see what happens. [Music]
