The Impact of Your Attitude on Others' Success

I want to talk about the power of belief. Belief in others. It's really easy to write someone off after getting frustrated with them. They didn't do a good job on something. Um, and we do have to have tough conversations and we do have to acknowledge that sometimes people are not the right people for the right roles. And at the same time, our attitude and how we treat them as far as whether or not we believe they can do something um really makes a difference. If you already wrote somebody off as that unable uncapable, chances are they really are going to be uncapable in that circumstance unless they have the personality type of prove you wrong. But most people um the label you put on them is the label you get from them. So when someone's not meeting the expectations you have for them, try labeling them as somebody capable, fully capable of doing it. Set clear expectations. Tell them you believe in them. You know that they can do it and you can't wait to see and celebrate when they do. And see what different outcome you get just by talking positively and putting that energy out there instead of talking about eh can't wait to see how they're going to fail. [Music]
