The Hidden Power of Leadership Retreats

Okay, so we just finished one of our group retreats with our Vistage group. And Renee, this was your first time going on a group retreat. I'm curious, what were your thoughts? >> Oh my gosh, I didn't know what to imagine. I knew it would be wonderful, and I knew there was a purpose for this, but being with everyone, their partners, and getting to know everyone both as in their personal lives and continuing our business conversations was like nothing I could have imagined. The side conversations that you don't get the chance during the month during meetings are what's truly incredible. And to see how people connect and relate and find commonalities that they never knew they had. We just had a breakfast, and the bonds that occurred by being here, and even though everyone is so busy making it a priority was enormous. And now it makes me so excited to continue the relationships in all of our group to do retreats with more of my members. And I'm just so grateful to you. Thank you for showing me the way. So, I want to relate this back to your world. In your companies, do you take time with your executive teams and your leadership teams to go offsite and just have some of that time together? You know, do a little business, but also do a little bit of social and get a chance to really have those connections so that it you build that trust in those relationships with your team members that just can't be built inside the office walls. So, for everyone out there with your teams, I want to know the next place you're going to make meaningful, long-lasting memories and build those relationships. >> [music]
