The Hidden Cost of Divided Attention

So, one thing that's been coming up for us a lot lately is divided attention that our leaders, CEOs, and even ourselves are feeling right now. And that's because, you know, some of our CEOs, they have multiple businesses they're trying to divide their attention between, or they serve on boards, work with nonprofits, or even personal stuff in their lives is coming up that they're trying to divide their attention between. >> Can you relate to this? It's the time of year. It's We're all in. We're excited about hitting our goals. How are you feeling around this? >> So, some tips and tricks for you and things that we see working well for some of our leaders. Um, one of them is be intentional about your time. Think about how much time do you want to be spending in each of these areas, and then do something like calendar time or time block to make sure you're living out your intentions of where you want to be spending your time. >> Also important to get with your accountability coach or confident or someone who really understands your goals. You could be doing things you don't need to be doing that really aren't going to get you where you want to go. >> And lastly, really make sure you're building up operational excellence in your business and boards. Make sure you're not doing the things that either drain you, so you have the time and energy for the other things, or that someone else can be doing, so that way you can focus your time and be as intentional as you want to be. >> We'd love to hear any ideas or thoughts around this or something you want to put that out there as an intention. Is it accountability? What are you going to do to help feel this sister distraction and overwhelm? >> Awesome. Please put them in comments. >> [music]
