Take a Break for Clarity

many leaders are constantly on the go I think one of the reasons is they feel like if they stop and pause reflect to gain Clarity be more strategic um that they aren't actually working doesn't feel like working and that it's hard in their role to lead by example if are not constantly doing so they don't stop and take what I'll call a Clarity break and the rally is the best strategy and the best ideas come from Gaining Clarity usually that doesn't happen in the midst of running from one thing to the next or dropping into doing it comes from stopping pausing and reflecting and to be honest that usually doesn't happen by doing that in your office um or rushing between meetings it's intentional it's time away from the office giving yourself a day offsite or going for a walk doing something unusual that gets your creative juices flowing and gets you out of your head not worried about the next task on your list um it's important as leaders that we stop pause and reflect and take a Clarity break it's important that you know once a month at least we stop um and we give ourselves a head space to think about the bigger picture if we're not doing that at least on a consistent regular basis like monthly we are missing and it should be more often frankly for leaders um but we're missing the opportunity to really do what our brains do best what really helps the organizations we lead or the people and the teams we lead um because we're so worried about our own perception of our productivity or others perception of our productivity that we aren't giving ourselves time to do what we do best for our companies and our teams which is actually thinking not doing so make sure as a leader you are taking time to gain Clarity to take a break from the day-to-day from the tasks the doing to just stop pause and reflect and gain Clarity for you your team and your organization [Music]
