foreign [Music] it is mental health awareness month and I am a firm believer that if we are not open and honest about the things we Face the challenges and things like that that we can't help each other uh face the stigma so I'm going to put out there as I do just about every year at this time that I suffer from bipolar disorder um and I take medicine every day I go to therapy regularly to keep working on the coping skills and make sure that I do the things I need to do to take care of myself it does not define me and I am a very successful individual um probably because of it not despite it having to face bipolar disorder and learn to live with it and cope with it has put me in a position to be successful facing other challenges in life to be successful executive to be a successful coach to others to lead and to facilitate I probably learn more leadership skills dealing with my disease than I have in any school or any business environment so bipolar disorder while it is a terrible thing um and I've been through a lot because of it I'm appreciative and grateful for it because of the gifts it has given me and I want to talk openly about it because it's not easy it is a struggle and there are many challenges that I have faced because of it and there's so many other individuals who face challenges because they bipolar because they're depressed because they face seasonal affective disorder or any other slew of mental illnesses out there but the more we talk openly and support one another the more we help each other and help Society learn from the gifts that come from it help each other and raise each other up and become better because of it so I encourage you if you face mental illness or someone in your family does post comment on this post share it let's talk openly this month about who we are because of these diseases and how they shape Us and how we shape the world with them rather than hiding behind them or pretending that we are a successful person despite them because I am successful because of who I am and because of everything I have faced in life foreign [Music]
