Shift your mindset, shift your presence

We often show up differently than we think we are. Why is that? It's something in our subconscious, in our mindset, and we don't even realize it's happening. So, we go into a deal with a new customer and maybe we really need to win that customer or client or we really need something to happen in a tough conversation. And so, we go in wanting that thing to happen and we come up and show ourselves differently than we think we appear because we haven't really gotten rid of that fear that's sitting in our subconscious. that's actually driving our mindset behind the conversation. So, next time you have a tough conversation or you're worried about something, um, one activity you can do is process all the worst case scenarios in advance. So, spend a couple minutes, write down what are all the worst things that could happen and remind yourself that you can probably let go of most of them. None of them are probably that bad. Once you do that, it helps allay the fear that's in the back of your mind and your subconscious, which allows you to go into the conversation with a much better, stronger mindset, shifting it to the possible instead of all of the worries and concerns in your background. Um, that allows you to show up differently. Uh, this probably sounds strange and you probably don't know what I mean until one day you try this and experience it. But we often when we have this fear in the back of our mind of what could happen and we haven't processed it yet, we show up in a fearful way. We show up in a needy way instead of in a confident um no matter what happens here, it's going to be okay way. And that comes across um with the power of authority and confidence when we show up in that light and we've cleared the fear from our mindset before going in. [Music]
