repeat repeat repeat to be clearly understood I can't overstate that enough because of exactly what I'm saying messages and thoughts are so clear in our heads that often times one we think we have done a great job of explaining what it is we want set clear expectations train someone well and however what comes out of our mouths is very different than what's in our heads because it's so clear to us we don't even realize that it's not explicit enough or not detailed enough um as missing steps Etc so one be more detailed second it's really important to repeat it the old adage many many years ago was that something needed to be repeated seven times for it would actually be understood by somebody the reality is today with all of the distractions we have in the digital age um people are paying way less attention to things and digesting things in a very different way that's actually probably double or triple today that you really need to repeat things you also need to do things in different methods some people are auditory some people need to read things some people are visual and need to actually um imagine and visualize things or need things like charts and graphs so don't think if you just put something out there in one format that and you do that over and over that it's going to reach people do it in different formats many times I can't overstate that enough repeat repeat repat repeat I have to say I probably created a video like this before and I think it's so important that I'm repeating the message in a new video today so if you want to communicate clearly you want to set expectations you want your team to be accountable make sure that you're communicating in a way that can really be understood and digested by your team or by those in your life that you're trying to talk to and communicate with be it family or friends as well [Music]
