foreign [Music] it's a very interesting thing I have the hang gliding picture behind not just because I like to hang glide and I do um but when you're looking at things from the sky the exact same object looks very different than it does if you're looking at that exact same object from the ground it's just different perspective the reality is we all have our own unique perspectives and the way we look at things so when we come across an issue or a problem we've got to solve it the only perspective we have typically is our own and if someone else looks at that problem with the experiences in the background that they have they might see it very differently this is why teams are such a great thing because when you're on a team you typically have people with different experiences in different backgrounds looking at the same issue or problem together and asking different questions than any one individual would ask of their own and you get to the deeper root cause of the issue and come up with much better Solutions and decisions having more perspectives than just one is much better from a result perspective than trying to figure things out on your own this is also important when you're trying to look at an issue with one other person remembering that you have a different perspective in theirs and you see it differently than they do there is always two and often many more sides to every story you're always looking at it through your lens and someone else is always looking at it through their lens so how do you have a better Global picture of what is actually happening when you solve an issue work through a problem with a co-worker or a family member or friend want to ask better questions listen learn from what they're seeing and hearing and don't pre-judge or make a decision on what needs to be done until you've gotten more perspectives than just your own you've gotten a chance to look through more lenses than just your lens perspective and understanding that your perspective is capped by your own experiences can really help you broaden your perspective and solve issues in a more effective way look at opportunities in a different way and honestly just make better decisions both in business and in life so I challenge you to think about things from just more than your perspective ask questions learn assess don't judge and make better decisions foreign [Music]
