[Music] over communication is good communication what do I mean by that um it is amazing how often we think we have communicated something well to our teams our families and often because it's so clear in our heads up here we speak it in a way that is unclear to others I know that I am really guilty of doing this I was training some people on a system last night and it makes all the sense to me but I explained it in a way that made no sense to them it is really important to include the details to make sure you're getting out all of the steps and not skipping them just because you can visually see all the steps in your head and to be clear with your team it's important to communicate not just to say it but be understood to check with the people that you are telling something to be it a training or um setting a vision or um otherwise to make sure that they understood what you meant that you didn't leave out details leave room leave room for questions um often we are so clear in our minds we are leaving out key details for others so good communication usually isn't good what we think think is good when we overc communicate and feel like we've been saying something more um so much that we're probably beating it over the head and someone is like why did you say that again that's usually when we're sending enough of a message with enough detail that they actually are understanding what we're trying to say so make sure that you are overc communicating to make sure that enough details are actually being communicated
