one of the best ways to shift your mindset to a positive mindset is through gratitude I talk about this all the time with clients and what better way than to start thinking about things that you're grateful for at Thanksgiving we all go around the table as a tradition as a family and people name something they're grateful for the problem I find with this is typically you hear the same things over and over again family friends yes I'm grateful for both of those things and it's important to recognize that but if you're always saying the same things it's really hard to shift your mindset so I challenge you today to think about gratitude a little differently and a little deeper ask yourself questions like what was the best thing I did today or the best moment of today or questions like who is somebody that made me smile in the last week or what was the best moment even in the grocery store right that little baby in the shopping cart that gave me a cute smile um you know but look for things that aren't the standard things you say you're grateful for try to come up with something different each day that's unique um and ask yourself a question like that that gets you thinking a little bit deeper about what you're grateful for what is something someone said today that made a difference in my life what is something I said to somebody else today that I noticed made a difference for them what is a gift I maybe gave somebody today um what is something different difficult I went through in the past week that I now see a positive opportunity or an outcome from so ask yourself different questions to find unique things you're grateful for and try to do that every day that's how you shift your mindset to a positive one through really learning and expressing gratitude um but not of the everyday obvious things but of the deeper things gives us a deeper appreciation of the life we're living and who we are as individuals so ask yourself some of these questions write it down and uh find a way to really enjoy and Savor up the life we're living [Music]
