one of the hardest things as a leader who especially when you lead someone in a role you used to have is to want to solve things for your team members when there's a problem it's so easy because you have a quick answer that you think will solve it and you can move on to the next thing faster and get it done quickly when you do that though your team never never learns from their mistakes the opportunity and doesn't grow and figure out how to make that decision on their own it's really important to question them and challenge them to come up with their own solutions they can learn from their mistakes and they can learn from their wins and from that you'll be surprised at how many things they actually know how to do without you doing it that actually shortcuts the process even though it feels like in the moment you need to tell them what to do because you'll get to the next thing faster if they start being more capable on their own and they don't come to you then that even shortcuts the process further so invest in asking good questions now and empowering them to do things and to learn a little slower to make it go much faster in the future Empower your team members they've got the solutions within um and so let them figure it out so that they can learn from it and grow from it too [Music]
