foreign ask how do you create a feeling and a sense of community and belonging in a remote or hybrid Workforce many companies still are in these states or will continue to be in them in perpetuity so it's a very important question and I know lots of companies who tried to create this by having remote happy hours over Zoom or other things like that and they're trying to build it through events and activities by repeating the things that they used to do in person the reality is even in a remote world you can still have in-person activities and that helps build community but Community is much bigger than the activities and team building that holds it together Community is actually about how engaged and bought in you are to the company's purpose and bigger picture so Clarity around the vision the purpose behind the company the culture of the company the values or core behaviors and being bought into those things causes team members to take ownership in them and act upon them and stay engaged with them and that actually builds Community it builds people caring about the success not only for themselves but for others success of the big picture and making sure that the overall purpose happens and when people are engaged in a plan or a bigger picture Mission or purpose then they actually are creating a community so it's not about the activities although they are wonderful and great and I love them and enjoy them but it's really about the bigger purpose and how that drives people to take ownership in the community
