communicating for clarity is critical As Leaders um we often feel like we're overc communicating when we're actually underc communicating we think we send or state or you know message to our organization something truly important and that they've heard it they've grasped it they understand it um and yet we haven't communicated enough even if we've repeated it a few times it's really important to communicate many times in many different ways for people to actually grasp and understand a message um some people are auditory some people are visual some people need to digest something in multiple methods multiple times it usually takes seven times on average for somebody to actually digest a message and that's a simple message when it's complicated messaging it takes even more so just because you communicated in a town hall or in writing in that newsletter forget the fact that people may not have been present in one of those methodologies um remember you can't really overc communicate but you can easily underc commmunication for clarity and real understanding is to overc communicate follow up ask good questions to make sure you're understood um and heard and talk about it regularly keep it top of mind for your team members [Music]
