Building Trust

one of the most critical traits that helps a team um be most effective is trust however trust is a hard thing it doesn't just exist it has to be built and sometimes it's built fast and sometimes it's built slow how fast it's built is not dependent upon one person it's depending on everybody's level of an ability to trust within a team or a group um however a strong leader can do certain things to help make trust grow faster by putting team members in a position where they get to know each other better um where they can open up about things both personal and professional help them build connections and relationships amongst team members um if it's a large team do it in small small groups getting people to rotate and get to know individuals better um things like that you can build trust faster than you would if you just let it try to be organic and on its own so some of the best ways to build trust within a group where a team are you know mostly getting to know you things and then deep questions deep thought that make people open up about stuff that may be a little bit uncomfortable and then a little bit more uncomfortable um Trust balls and things like that are fun but they don't necessarily build trust they build okay you will definitely catch me um but um it is more the things that create deeper connection between individuals that creates trust a sense of belonging and connectedness um that breeds trust so next time you're trying to build trust within your team team building is great but pick the team building exercise that's not the trustfall that helps really create connectedness within your team helps people learn who they are where they came from why they act the way they act and make the decisions they do the more you learn about people deeply the more trust you build quickly
