My recent post about the Savannah Bananas got me thinking. Someone commented and asked me the question of how do leaders that we work with, my clients, create this type of customer experience for their customers and clients. It got me thinking and my gut reaction was leaders create so many initiatives in their businesses, sometimes way too many, and have a hard time prioritizing. But what they're not doing is filtering whether or not those initiatives, the innovation they're creating, the transformation is going to create a difference in their customer experience. Now, don't hear what I'm not saying. It is really important to have initiatives that affect the bottom line. And at the same time, if our minor majority of the initiatives we create are all about the bottom line and aren't driven by our mission, our purpose, the impact we want to make, the experience we want to create for our customers, then we are losing sight of who we are as a company. So my question for you to think about today, reflect on this. the initiatives on your list in your strategic plan, the projects you're working on, the rocks you have if you're an EOS company, are they mostly driven towards creating a better customer experience? How do they affect your customers? If that's the case, you're heading in the right direction? If they're mostly about process and the bottom line, you're probably missing the path to creating raving customer fans. And that's how real growth, innovation, and our missions really, our purposedriven systems come true. So think about who you really want your company to be, and are your initiatives driving that or are they driving something totally different? Are you creating raving fans for your business like the Savannah Bananas? [Music]
