Are You Outgrowing Your Company or is Your Company Outgrowing You?

[Music] foreign [Music] are you outgrowing your company or is your company outgrowing you that's a strange question and there is a third option which is you're growing at the same Pace but let's talk about why this question is important so to start if your company is growing rapidly it's got accelerated growth lots of transformation business model change and you are not continuously updating your skills and growing your knowledge base the company will outgrow you um companies get capped by the leaders that lead them and so if you aren't growing it will need new leadership in order to continue to take it forward vice versa if you are growing rapidly and investing in your development and growth and yet the company is really not going through a lot of change or transformation the company will no longer challenge you and you will need to change companies in order to continue growing at the pace that you want to grow and learn so companies and Leadership both need to be asking this question to make sure they have the right people in the right roles for the company's going next and to make sure that the leaders are challenged enough to stay in the roles to continue to help growing the company versus leaving and creating gaps so it's an important question to ask for each of your leaders in your organization are they outgrowing the company or is the company changing and growing faster than they're growing by answering these questions you can start to figure out are your leaders capping the growth of your company or are they developing so fast you're likely to lose them just some thoughts for the day [Music]
